Surrounding yourself with images and words that represent your goals and desires can help you define your focus, intentions, and motivation to work toward those goals.

Good Morning!

Today is Monday, February 20, 2023.

Over the weekend, I got the chance to attend a local networking event and met a ton of inspirational artists and local business owners.

One of those amazing individuals I got the honor of meeting was a woman by the name of Cathy.

After speaking with Cathy for a few minutes, we began discussing personal development techniques and how we both enjoy helping others.

She then told me that she owns her own business/boutique that focuses on creating Vision Boards for others!

How amazing is that!?

I told her about my weekly newsletter (the one you're reading now) and showed her some of my past articles and topics of discussion.

Her whole face lit up.

It was such a surreal experience talking with someone who shared pretty much the same thoughts and feelings on life as me.

I think it's safe to say that we were both completely amazed by each other.

When we were discussing Vision Boards, my mother chimed in and asked what it was.

For those who aren't familiar, a Vision Board is a visual representation of your goals and aspirations.

It is typically a collage of images, words, and phrases representing the things you want to achieve, acquire, or experience in your life.

The idea behind a vision board is that surrounding yourself with images and words that represent your goals and desires can help you define your focus, intentions, and motivation to work toward those goals.

Vision boards can be created in a variety of ways, such as cutting out images from magazines and pasting them onto a poster board or using digital tools to create a collage on a computer or smartphone.

The images and words can be related to various aspects of life, such as your career, relationships, health, personal growth, financial goals, etc.

Once you've created your vision board, it should be placed in a primary location, such as your bedroom or office, where it can be viewed daily to remind you of your goals and aspirations.

To help you get started, here are some general steps for creating a Vision Board:

  1. Set aside some time: Find a time when you can focus on creating your vision board without interruption. Depending on the size and complexity of your vision board, you may need anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours.
  2. Gather materials: Collect materials that you'll need, such as a poster board, glue, scissors, magazines, markers, and any other items you want to include on your board.
  3. Reflect on your goals and aspirations: Take some time to think about what you want to achieve, acquire or experience in your life. Write down your goals and aspirations to help you focus on your vision board.
  4. Choose images and words: Look through magazines and online resources or create your designs to find images and words that represent your goals and aspirations. Cut out or print out the images and words that resonate with you.
  5. Arrange the images and words: Begin arranging the images and words on the poster board until you create a visual representation of your goals and aspirations. Don't worry too much about the placement of items; you can always move things around until you're happy with the layout.
  6. Add finishing touches: Once you have your images and words arranged on the poster board, add any finishing touches, such as stickers, glitter, or other decorative items.
  7. Display your vision board: Hang your vision board in a distinguished location where you can see it regularly to help remind you of your goals and aspirations.

Remember, there's no right or wrong way to create a vision board!

The most important thing is that it reflects your goals and aspirations, and inspires you to take action toward achieving them.

Once again I wanted to give a huge shoutout to Cathy for being such an amazing and kind soul and for being the inspiration behind this week's newsletter.
